Arsha Vidyalayam, Annur (established in 1997), is affiliated with Bharatheeya Vidya Niketan, Kerala (established in 1979 in Palakkad, now boasting around 500 educational institutions) under the umbrella of Vidya Bharathi (founded in 1952 in Gorakhpur, U.P, starting with Saraswathi Shishu Mandiram and now comprising approximately 40,000 educational institutions worldwide), dedicated to providing quality education rooted in Bharatheeya values and culture.
Drawing from the principles of "Panjanka Shikshana" (ethical, yoga, Sanskrit, music, physical education), Vidya Bharathi aims for comprehensive excellence within the national education system, fostering a sense of nationalism and morality alongside knowledge acquisition. Arsha Vidyalayam began as a pre-primary school in a rented building in 1997, initiated by prominent social workers. In 2007, it transitioned to its current premises and land in Annur.
Arsha Vidyalayam holds the necessary recognition from NIOS and approval for pre-primary to 8th standard under BVN (comparable to CBSE standards). To introduce 8th standard in the upcoming academic year, comprehensive infrastructure development funding is required. Celebrating its 25th year milestone, Arsha Vidyalayam currently accommodates around 140 students and employs 15 staff members, including the Principal, teachers, and non-teaching staff.
The Vidyalaya Samithi, Mathru Samithi, PTA, Academic Council, Old Students’ Association, and various in-house clubs actively support the institution. Students benefit from dedicated teachers and free noon meals, nurturing both their intellectual and emotional well-being. Arsha Vidyalayam takes pride in its students, particularly those who achieve district-level recognition in arts, sports, science, and cultural events.
The institution firmly opposes staff capitation fees or mandatory donations from students/parents. As a private unaided school without grants, Arsha Vidyalayam relies primarily on the Vidyalaya Samithi to raise funds. The Samithi looks forward to continued support and cooperation from well-wishers in society who value the invaluable "Punjanka Shikshana" provided by Vidhya Bharathi/Bharatheeya Vidya Niketan/Arsha Vidyalayam.
